AIFORYA Delivery Date Picker: WooCommerce Delivery Planning, Closures Understood in Plain Language by AI

Structure your WooCommerce delivery planning with AIFORYA Delivery Date Picker: weekly slots, quotas, closing days entered in plain language by AI, encrypted API keys. BYOK model, no commission.

AIFORYA Delivery Date Picker for WordPress: The Foundation of Your Delivery Planning, with the AI That Understands Your Closures

Structure your WooCommerce delivery planning on clean, manageable foundations: weekly slots, order quotas per day, closing days and carriers, all handled from a clear dashboard. The layer no one else embeds: an AI that interprets your closures in plain language — you write "closed from December 24 to 31", the extension derives the exact dates, checks them and lets you validate them before writing. You keep full control of your AI costs thanks to the BYOK model — your own API key, no commission, no quota.

We only sell what actually works. This page honestly describes what the extension does today, and clearly separates what is on our roadmap.

Technical specifications: Compatible with WordPress 6.0+, WooCommerce 7.0+, PHP 8.0+. Multilingual and performance-optimised.

Included in the AIFORYA subscription, unlimited AI usage via your own API key.

The Challenge: A Delivery Planning That Holds Up

For any e-commerce merchant, the delivery promise is a commitment made at the most decisive step of the buying journey. Yet the majority of solutions on WordPress settle for a basic calendar, blind to your operational reality. Industry studies, such as those by the Baymard Institute, show that delivery-related issues (delays, costs, lack of clarity) are a major cause of cart abandonment, affecting up to 20% of potential sales.

But even before displaying a date to a customer, a more down-to-earth problem arises: structuring and maintaining a reliable planning on the admin side. Web professionals and e-merchants run into recurring obstacles:

  • Scattered configuration: Defining slots per weekday, order quotas, public holidays and closing periods often means juggling several dispersed settings, with no overall view.
  • Tedious closure entry: Manually encoding every closing day — holidays, bridge days, public holidays, the festive season — is time-consuming and error-prone. A sentence like "closed every Sunday and from December 24 to January 2" should be enough.
  • API key security: As soon as an extension calls an AI via your key, that key must be stored in a genuinely secure way — not in plain text in the database.

AIFORYA Delivery Date Picker takes a pragmatic approach: a solid admin foundation for your delivery planning, plus a targeted AI layer exactly where it brings a real gain — understanding your closures in plain language — without overselling automations that do not yet exist.

Key Features

Here is what the extension actually does today, verified in the code, with no empty promises. Capabilities still under development are grouped further down in the Roadmap section.

Weekly Slot Planning (Admin)

  • Description: An admin editor covering the seven days of the week: enable or disable each day, set the start time, end time and the maximum number of orders per day. Each day is stored cleanly in the database (one row per day), ready to feed the generation of available dates.
  • Concrete benefit: In a few minutes, you lay down the structure of your weekly delivery capacity in a single clear interface — the foundation everything else rests on.

Closing Days (Blackouts) + Export

  • Description: Add, remove and list your closing dates. The extension automatically rejects duplicates (a uniqueness constraint in the database) and lets you export the whole set as CSV or JSON (with a proper UTF-8 header) for your archives or your other tools.
  • Concrete benefit: Your closing periods are centralised, clean and exportable. You no longer depend on an external spreadsheet to know when your store is not delivering.

AI Interpretation of Closures in Plain Language

  • Description: This is the real differentiator, and it is fully wired. You write a sentence — "closed from December 24 to 31", "no delivery on the May public holidays" — and the AI returns structured dates. Strict guardrails apply: a 24-month bounded horizon, a maximum of 120 dates per request, deduplication, past dates ignored. Above all, you get a preview of the derived dates before any write to the database: nothing is applied without your validation.
  • Concrete benefit: What used to take long minutes of manual entry is settled in one sentence. No mainstream WooCommerce competitor (Tyche, Iconic, Deliyo) offers this plain-language entry. And because a preview precedes the write, you keep full control.
  • BYOK Integration: The analysis relies on your Anthropic or OpenAI API key, with no per-call surcharge imposed by AIFORYA.

Multi-Provider BYOK with Encrypted Keys

  • Description: Connect your API key for Anthropic or OpenAI, or point to a compatible custom endpoint. Keys are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM (the encryption key is derived from your WordPress security salts) and are never redisplayed in clear text. A "Test connection" button verifies that your key and active provider respond.
  • Concrete benefit: You choose your provider, change your key whenever you want, and your credentials are protected to a solid encryption standard. No dependency on an intermediary, no data transiting through AIFORYA.

Carrier Management (Admin)

  • Description: An admin CRUD for your carriers: name, identifier, associated WooCommerce shipping method, standard lead time, zones and active status. This information is stored and centralised.
  • Concrete benefit: You document your carriers and their lead times in the same place as your planning. In full transparency: these lead times will feed the delivery-time prediction (see Roadmap); today, they form your manageable carrier reference base.

Dashboard & Diagnostics

  • Description: The dashboard displays indicators genuinely computed over your last two hundred WooCommerce orders: the percentage of orders associated with a delivery date and the average lead time. The Settings tab also includes scheduled-task diagnostics: "scheduled / not scheduled" status, next run, WP-Cron test.
  • Concrete benefit: You track the real adoption of delivery dates and have diagnostic tools to check the state of your automations. We display only genuinely measured figures — no artificially inflated vanity metrics.

Real-World Use Cases

For WordPress Freelancers

Hélène sets up the logistics of a WooCommerce site for a local caterer. Rather than encoding every closing day of the year by hand, she types a single sentence — "closed every Monday, on public holidays and from August 1 to 15": the AI closure interpretation returns the dates, which she previews then validates in one click. She then configures the weekly planning (slots and quotas per day), saves the client's API key — encrypted with AES-256-GCM — and exports the blackout list as CSV for the archives. She delivers a clean, documented planning foundation without spending half a day on it.

For Digital Agencies

An agency manages the logistics configuration of several client stores. The AI closure interpretation becomes its recurring time-saver: every festive campaign or holiday period is set up in one sentence, with a preview before applying. The scheduled-task diagnostics and the dashboard (share of orders with a date, average lead time) give a factual reading of each site's planning state. The carrier reference base centralises each client's standard lead times in one place.

For the Freelancer Laying Healthy Foundations

Julie administers several stores whose payment is already handled via WooCommerce. What she lacked was a single, reliable place to structure slots, quotas and above all closures — without a parallel spreadsheet. The plain-language entry and the CSV/JSON export give her exactly that. As the model is BYOK, each client pays their own AI calls directly — a few cents per month for this occasional use — with no commission and no quota.

Roadmap: What We Ship Next

For the sake of product honesty, we clearly separate what works today from what is coming. The following capabilities are under active development and are not presented as operational:

  • The customer-facing date picker at checkout. Displaying the calendar at checkout and enforcing quotas in real time are being finalised (front-end interface and rule enforcement). We prefer not to announce it as functional until it works end to end.
  • AI delivery-time prediction (ETA). The AI-based lead-time estimation — fed by your carriers and zones — is part of the next step. It is not yet connected; we do not bill it as an active feature.
  • Automatic refresh of public holidays and scheduled cache purge. These background tasks will be activated with the finalisation of the scheduler.
  • Broadening the AI providers selectable in the interface (beyond the current Anthropic, OpenAI and custom endpoint).

Our commitment: announce less, deliver for real, then activate these building blocks progressively.

Clear and Predictable Pricing

AIFORYA offers its extensions in a bundled subscription, with no hidden fees, no commission on your sales and no AI usage quota. You pay for the software and its support; you keep full control of your AI costs.

PlanPriceSitesKey Points
Free0€1 site1 free extension of your choice
Starter€29 / month incl. VAT1 site5 extensions of your choice from the full catalogue (including this one), planning and closures, AI closure interpretation, unlimited AI usage via your key, standard support
Pro€99 / month incl. VAT5 sitesAccess to the full catalogue (50+ extensions), priority support

Important note on the BYOK model: The subscription covers the software licence, updates and support. Your AI calls (Anthropic, OpenAI) are billed separately and directly by the provider you choose, via your own API key. For this extension's usage — the occasional interpretation of closures — this cost is generally a few cents to a few euros per month. AIFORYA applies NO margin on your AI consumption, and NO commission on your revenue.

Frequently Asked Questions

General AIFORYA Questions

  1. How do I create my Anthropic (or OpenAI) API key? The process takes less than 5 minutes. Create an account on the provider's platform, add a payment method, then generate a key in the "API Keys" section. Detailed step-by-step guides are available in the AIFORYA documentation.

  2. Can I cancel my subscription at any time? Yes. Subscriptions have no minimum term. You can cancel at any time from your client area. The extension keeps working until the end of your current billing period.

  3. How does the BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) model work? You insert your own API key into the extension settings. AI calls are then made directly from your WordPress server to the provider, with your key. This guarantees full cost transparency and better privacy: your data never transits through AIFORYA's servers.

  4. What are the actual AI costs? Very low. The extension only calls the AI on a single, deliberate action — interpreting a closure sentence. For most users, the monthly bill from the provider is measured in cents. The BYOK model ensures you always pay the market price, with no added margin.

  5. Is my data stored by AIFORYA? No. All your data (planning, orders, settings) stays on your WordPress server. Only the closure sentence you deliberately type is sent to the AI provider via your key, to derive dates. No customer data is transmitted.

  6. Is the extension compatible with Elementor / Divi / Breakdance? Yes. AIFORYA Delivery Date Picker integrates at the level of WooCommerce and the WordPress admin. It is independent of your page builder or theme, in respect of WordPress standards.

  7. Is there a trial period? There is no trial period, but a Free plan lets you use one extension on one site for free, and subscriptions have no commitment — cancel anytime.

  8. What happens if Anthropic or OpenAI changes its prices? That's an advantage of the BYOK model. If prices drop — which is frequent — you benefit immediately. If a provider becomes too expensive, you switch to another compatible one simply by changing your API key.

  9. Can I use my subscription on multiple sites? Yes: the Pro plan covers 5 sites and the Agency plan an unlimited number of sites.

  10. Does AIFORYA provide technical support? Absolutely. Responsive email support is included in all subscriptions. Response times vary according to your plan.

Specific Questions for Delivery Date Picker

  1. Does the date picker already appear for my customers at checkout? Not yet end to end. Displaying the calendar to the customer at checkout is being finalised and is on our roadmap. Today, the extension lets you structure and administer your entire delivery planning (slots, quotas, closures, carriers) and use the AI closure interpretation. We prefer not to announce a customer-facing function until it is fully operational.

  2. Which AI feature is genuinely available today? The interpretation of closures in plain language. You write a sentence, the AI returns structured dates, with strict guardrails (24-month horizon, maximum 120 dates, deduplication, past dates ignored) and a preview before writing. It is a real, wired function, not a promise. We prefer to announce less and deliver for real.

  3. How are my API keys protected? They are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, using an encryption key derived from your WordPress installation's security salts. They are never redisplayed in clear text in the interface. A test button lets you check the connection without exposing the key.

  4. Can I manage closing days without using the AI? Yes. You can add, remove and list your closing dates manually, with automatic duplicate rejection, and export the whole set as CSV or JSON. Plain-language interpretation is an optional accelerator, not a mandatory step.

  5. Which AI providers are selectable in the interface? Today, the interface exposes Anthropic, OpenAI and a compatible custom endpoint. Broadening to other selectable providers is on our roadmap. We prefer to document what the settings screen actually offers rather than announce a list the interface does not yet let you choose.
