WordPress Classic Editor: the free AIFORYA plugin

Restore the classic editor (TinyMCE) and classic widgets instead of Gutenberg, site-wide or per content type. Free plugin, no API key.

WordPress Classic Editor: the free AIFORYA plugin

Bring back the WordPress classic editor, right where you need it.

AIFORYA Classic Editor restores the WordPress classic editor (TinyMCE) in place of the block editor (Gutenberg) when you write or edit content. You choose to apply it to the whole site or only to certain content types, and your already-saved content is never modified. Everything works locally, without an API key, and for free with no time limit.

  • Free and complete: published on WordPress.org, classic editor and widgets included.
  • Risk-free: no existing content is converted or deleted.
  • Flexible: the whole site, or only the content types you choose.

Why restore the classic editor?

The block editor suits many sites, but not every use case. For simple writing, a fast publishing flow, or a team used to the older interface, the classic editor is often more direct and more comfortable. Some workflows, plugins or custom fields also still rely on this editor.

The need is therefore legitimate: to have the choice, without being forced into a single way of writing. AIFORYA Classic Editor answers that need with a flexible scope — the whole site or per content type — and a clear safety principle: the plugin never touches your saved content, it only changes the editor that is displayed. So you can try it and roll back without any risk to your data.

What the plugin does

  • Classic editor restored — the block editor is replaced by the classic editor (TinyMCE) when editing content.
  • Flexible scope — apply the classic editor to all content types, or only to the types you choose (posts, pages, custom types).
  • Classic widgets — restore the older, simpler widgets screen in place of the block-based widgets screen.
  • No content modified — the plugin only changes the editor shown; your already-saved texts, pages and blocks are neither converted nor deleted.
