WordPress Email Log: the free AIFORYA extension

Finally know whether your WordPress emails actually go out.

AIFORYA Email Log keeps track of every email your site sends: sign-ups, orders, password resets, notifications. Whenever you have a doubt — "did the customer really get their confirmation?" — you check the recipient, subject, date and send status at a glance. The log runs locally on your server, with no API key and no account, free of charge and with no time limit.

  • Free and complete: published on WordPress.org, no features held back.
  • Local by default: logging triggers no network calls.
  • Privacy-friendly: only metadata is recorded, never the content of your messages.

Why log your emails?

An email that doesn't go out is an invisible problem: the customer doesn't get their invoice, the user can't reset their password, and you only find out when someone complains. Without a log, it is almost impossible to tell whether the email failed at the WordPress level, the server, or the recipient's mailbox.

A send log turns that diagnosis into a simple read: you immediately see whether the email was handed off to the sending layer and, when it fails, the associated error message. It is the first thing to check when deciding whether to install a dedicated SMTP or fix a configuration.

What the extension does

  • Send log — every email that goes through WordPress is recorded with recipient, subject, date and status (sent or failed).
  • Failure detection — failed emails are flagged and the error message is kept to make diagnosis easier.
  • Privacy-friendly — the content of messages is not recorded; only metadata is.
  • Adjustable retention — set a duration (30 days by default); an automatic daily cleanup keeps the database lightweight.
  • SMTP-complementary — works equally well with native sending and with an SMTP extension.
