WordPress redirect management: the free AIFORYA extension

Manage all your redirects and turn your 404 errors into 301s.

AIFORYA Redirect Manager manages all of your redirects and monitors your site's 404 errors, with automatic target suggestions and CSV import/export. The core runs locally, with no API key or external service — free and with no time limit.

  • Free and complete: published on WordPress.org, no restricted management features.
  • 100% local core: no network calls when pages load, nor for 404 tracking.
  • Protects your SEO: automatic redirect on URL change and chain detection.

Why take redirect management seriously?

Every broken URL is a lost visitor and a negative signal sent to search engines. During a redesign, a permalink change or the deletion of a post, old addresses keep getting visited and indexed: without a redirect, they return a 404 error that wastes the rankings you patiently built.

Good redirect management meets three needs: redirect cleanly with a 301 to pass on SEO value, detect 404s so nothing slips through, and avoid redirect chains that dilute that value and slow down navigation. AIFORYA Redirect Manager covers all three, without relying on a third-party service or a subscription.

What the extension does

  • 301/302/307/308 redirects — create, edit, enable, disable and delete your redirects, with support for regular expressions (regex) to handle groups of URLs in a single rule.
  • 404 error tracking — every missing URL that gets visited is recorded, along with the hit count and the source.
  • Similarity-based target suggestions — for each 404, the extension suggests the published page that is closest by slug and title. You confirm in one click to create the redirect.
  • Automatic redirect on URL change — when you change the permalink of published content, a 301 redirect is created automatically.
  • Chain and loop detection — spots 301-to-301 redirects (loss of SEO value) and infinite loops.
  • CSV import / export — export, edit in bulk and re-import; the import also detects redirects from other plugins.
  • Email alerts — get notified about detected chains and loops.
